Privacy Policy

Crypto SPY: Learn Crypto ("Crypto SPY", "the app") is a crypto education game that uses virtual money only. This policy explains what the app collects and why.

1. Information we collect

• Account details. If you create an account, your email address and password are handled by Firebase Authentication (Google). You can also play as a guest without an email address.
• Username and game stats. Your chosen username, virtual portfolio value, prediction record, win rate, streaks and XP are stored in Cloud Firestore so they can appear on the public leaderboard.
• Predictions. Your predictions are saved to your account. Other players can see your pending predictions on your public profile.
• App usage. Firebase Analytics collects basic, aggregated usage information (for example, which screens are used) to help improve the app.
• Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.

2. Ads (free players only)

Free players can choose to watch a short video ad to earn 1 extra buy, 1 extra sell and 1 extra coin pick for the day. Premium and Pro subscribers never see ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob. When an ad loads, Google may collect your device's IP address (used for approximate location), device and advertising identifiers, which ads you saw or tapped, and crash and performance data, to show and measure ads and prevent fraud.

• Tracking choice. Before your first ad, iOS asks whether Crypto SPY may track you. If you tap Allow, Google may use your device's advertising identifier to show ads that fit your interests. If you tap Ask App Not to Track, it won't, and you still get the bonus. You can change this any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
• EEA, UK and Switzerland. You are asked for consent through Google's consent form before any ad, and you can change your choice later in the app under Help > Ad Privacy Choices.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. Apart from the optional ads above, we do not track you across other apps and websites. Your email address is never shown to other players.

4. Market data

Prices come from CoinGecko (through our Firebase server) and from Coinbase's public market feed. These requests contain no personal information beyond a sign-in token used to protect our server from abuse.

5. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders on your device when a prediction is ready to check. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account from the app's settings, which removes your profile from the leaderboard. You can also email us to request deletion of any remaining data.

7. Children

Crypto SPY is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Service providers

We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics) and Google AdMob (ads for free players). See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
